The Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape ~ Cyber Attack Response
Lloyd's Library, Lloyd's Building, One Lime Street, London EC3M 7HA,
Monday 30 September 2013
16:00PM - 17:15PM
Introduction
Cyberspace has brought immense benefit to our society but in the midst of the ongoing 'digital and big data explosion', every new advance also brings with it greater opportunity for those with malign intent. Many organisations seek to address these threats at a technical level, with limited understanding of the business risk. Recent high profile events have shown that this approach can leave the most sophisticated organisations vulnerable. What lessons have been learned and what about 'how to respond to a cyber attack'?
During this meeting we will outline an approach that insurance organisations could take to understand the business risks they are facing, and what each organisation, irrespective of size, could do in order to help combat these risks.
The faster a company identifies a problem, and its relevance to the business, the more effectively the company can respond. This presentation will discuss the current state of cyber threats, what the cyber response curve is and how market companies can gain advantage to improve attack response.
